Join Leidos as a Military Family Life Counselor - CDC at Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam

Leidos seeks licensed behavioral health professionals for our Child and Youth Behavioral Military Family Life Counselor (CYB-MFLC) team. Support U.S. military families facing unique challenges of military life. Provide non-medical, preventive counseling, consultation, and outreach at Child Development Centers (CDCs) on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI. No travel per diem or relocation assistance offered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with children 0-5 in CDCs, before/after-school programs for youth and teens.
  • Coach staff and parents on behavior management; model techniques during activities.
  • Present on social skills and emotional learning to foster early development.
  • Promote creativity through approved materials; attend events to build family rapport.
  • Assist with transitions (new schools/homes); report trends to Team Leads.
  • Participate in training and respond to emergent situations across installation.

Work Environment

60% indoor CDC settings (sitting on floor up to 2 hours); 40% outdoor (uneven terrain, weather exposure, stairs). Traverse rugged areas; comply with military site requirements. Travel off-base possible.

  • Ability to pass basic background check, Child National Agency Check, and Inquiries (NACI/CNACI) (experience)

Responsibilities
