Leidos is seeking licensed behavioral health professionals for the Child and Youth Behavioral Military and Family Life Counselor (CYB-MFLC) role at Fort Wainwright, AK. Provide vital non-medical support to military children and families navigating unique challenges of military life.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly in Child Development Centers (CDCs) with children 0-5, after-school programs, and youth activities.
  • Engage with children, coach staff and parents on behavior management, and deliver social emotional learning presentations.
  • Assist with transitions, promote creativity, and attend community events to build family rapport.
  • Respond to emergent situations across indoor (60%) and outdoor (40%) military environments, including uneven terrain and weather exposure.

Minimum Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Observe, engage, and model behavior management techniques for children, staff, and parents
  • Deliver presentations on social skills development and social emotional learning
  • Support children with transitions like new schools or homes, and build rapport at community events
  • Participate in in-service training, report trends to team leads, and respond to emergent situations on installation
