Leidos is seeking licensed behavioral health professionals for the Child and Youth Behavioral Military and Family Life Counselor (CYB-MFLC) role at Beale AFB near Marysville, CA. Provide vital non-medical counseling, consultation, and outreach to children, youth, parents, and staff at Child Development Centers (CDCs). Help military kids navigate unique challenges like frequent moves and parental deployments through preventive, solution-focused support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Engage with children 0-5 in CDCs and school-aged youth in before/after-school programs.
  • Coach staff and parents on behavior management; model positive techniques.
  • Present on social-emotional learning and development.
  • Promote creativity via approved materials and attend community events for rapport-building.
  • Assist with transitions and report installation trends to leads.

Work Environment & Additional Duties

Expect 60% indoor CDC time (including floor-sitting with kids) and 40% outdoors over uneven terrain in varying weather. May respond to emergencies across installations, travel off-base, and meet site-specific requirements. Full-time, flexible scheduling supports military life.

  • Deliver presentations on social skills and emotional development
  • Support transitions like new schools/homes and build family rapport at events
  • Communicate trends/issues to team leads and participate in training
