Job Description

Military Family Life School Counselor – Fort Cavazos, TX

Leidos seeks licensed behavioral health professionals for our Child and Youth Behavioral Military and Family Life Counselor (CYB-MFLC) team at Fort Cavazos School. This 9-month school calendar role supports military children facing unique stressors of military life through preventive, non-medical counseling.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work directly in schools with military youth and teens, engaging in activities and providing coaching/guidance.
  • Model behavior techniques for staff/parents and deliver social-emotional learning presentations.
  • Build family rapport via events and aid transitions to new schools/homes.
  • Respond to emergent situations across installations, including outdoor/rugged terrain (60% indoor/40% outdoor).
  • Communicate trends to Team Leads and complete required training.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to pass NACI/CNACI clearance and background check (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Provide non-medical counseling, consultation, and outreach to military youth, parents, and school staff
  • Engage in school activities, observe youth, and model behavior management techniques
  • Deliver presentations on social skills and emotional learning
