Your Role: Onsite Naval Architecture Support

As Naval Architect IV, provide primary onsite technical support to US Navy Combatant Craft Division (Code 83) at Joint Expeditionary Base Little Creek, Chesapeake, VA. Blend hands-on naval architecture with innovative engineering on mission-critical projects.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Execute accurate engineering calculations via first principles and novel approaches.
  • Support project managers in boat/craft design using established skills and procedures.
  • Follow engineering standards to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Team up to devise solutions for complex challenges.
  • Deliver timely, precise engineering assignments with industry software.
  • Offer direct naval architecture/marine engineering services to Navy clients onsite.

Basic Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship and active Secret DoD clearance.
  • B.S.+ in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or related field.
  • 8+ years experience with broad marine engineering knowledge.
  • Expertise in regulations (BS/RINA/LR/ISO/USCG/ABYC) and Class/Flag approvals.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Rhino; strong first-principles problem-solving.
  • Experience with technical scopes, vendor collaboration, and independent time management.
