Join Leidos as a NetOps Specialist Mid on the SMIT Program
Leidos seeks a skilled NetOps Specialist Mid to join our industry-leading Service Management, Integration, and Transport (SMIT) program in Albany, GA. As the largest IT services contract for the Navy, SMIT delivers the core backbone of the Navy-Marine Corps Intranet, encompassing cybersecurity, network operations, service desk, and data transport. Support the unification of shore-based networks to enhance capabilities, improve services, and drive significant cost savings through a single enterprise network.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle escalated incidents from triage to resolution, including high-priority command-level escalations.
- Lead critical infrastructure repairs, directing remote and virtual teams to sustain operational effectiveness.
- Conduct root cause analysis and document findings according to government procedures.
- Provide data center support with continuous feedback to stakeholders.
- Maintain detailed shift logs in ticketing and reporting tools, ensuring seamless pass-downs.
- Deliver timely incident notifications and status updates to Government Civilian Leads and clients.
- Oversee Continuity of Operations (COOP) planning, outage simulations, and disaster recovery efforts.
- Mentor and train junior NetOps Specialists to build team expertise.
Basic Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 5+ years of relevant experience
- US Citizenship with active DoD Secret Clearance
- CompTIA Security+ and Cisco CCNA certifications
