Join Leidos as a NetOps Transport Monitor Intern

Launch your IT career with Leidos' DIGMOD team in Norfolk, VA. Gain hands-on experience in an enterprise Network Operations Center (NOC), supporting critical Navy Warfighter missions. Work Monday-Friday, 0800-1700, with occasional overnight shifts for broader operations exposure.

Primary Responsibilities

• Monitor and respond to network transport events across WLAN, LAN, and WAN solutions.
• Perform initial triage, document incidents, and escalate to leadership or higher tiers.
• Resolve events within processes, collaborating with vendors and specialist teams.
• Execute supervised infrastructure changes for engineering requirements and government directives.
• Maintain <5-minute response to critical alerts and apprise Critical Situation Manager.

Basic Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's in Networking/IT from accredited college (GPA 3.0+).
• US Citizen eligible for DoD Secret Clearance.
• 8570 IAT II compliant or on track during internship.
• Strong communication skills and composure under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications

• Military experience (USMC/USN IT preferred).
• ITSM, networking, data center familiarity.
• ITIL Foundations, SNMP tools, DoD networks (NIPR), MPLS, routing protocols, Cisco IOS.
