Join Leidos as a NetOps Transport Monitor Intern
Launch your IT career with Leidos' DIGMOD team in Norfolk, VA. Gain hands-on experience in an enterprise Network Operations Center (NOC), supporting critical Navy Warfighter missions. Monitor transport solutions (WLAN, LAN, WAN) Monday-Friday, 0800-1700, with occasional overnight familiarization.
Primary Responsibilities
- Monitor and document network events, outages, and incidents.
- Perform initial triage, assess impact, and escalate to higher tiers.
- Resolve WAN/LAN issues and coordinate with vendors/specialists.
- Execute supervised infrastructure changes per engineering requirements.
- Maintain <5-minute response to critical alerts and update leadership.
Basic Qualifications
- Pursuing Bachelor's in Networking/IT (GPA 3.0+).
- US Citizen eligible for DoD Secret Clearance.
- 8570 IAT II compliant or pursuing during internship.
- Strong communication and pressure-handling skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Military experience (USMC/USN IT preferred).
- ITSM, networking, data center familiarity.
- ITIL Foundations, SNMP tools, DoD networks.
- Knowledge of MPLS, routing protocols, Cisco IOS, VLANs, VoIP.
