Leidos seeks a skilled Network Engineer/Administrator Tier 4 for the USCENTCOM Information Technology Services (CITS) Program, supporting USCENTCOM J6. This role involves all aspects of network operations in a high-paced, diverse environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop specifications and schematics for network architecture; provide detailed hardware/software implementation guidance.
  • Test network systems and maintain expertise across routers, switches, firewalls, servers, PCs, and printers.
  • Deliver imaginative solutions to complex problems under general direction, contributing to program tasks and projects.
  • Monitor network performance, troubleshoot connectivity, and implement security measures like firewalls and IPS/IDS.
  • Lead projects, mentor juniors, document configurations, and coordinate with teams for integrations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in communications or related field + 5 years in Network/Transport tech.
  • 5+ years in enterprise/global networks; DoD 8140/8570 certification.
  • Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, routing (EIGRP/OSPF/BGP), VPNs, Cisco hardware, and cloud networking.

  • CCNA/CCNP/CCDP; USCENTCOM familiarity; Wireshark analysis; project management.
  • Ability to work independently, weekends/evenings as needed, and communicate with non-technical staff.

  • Diagnose/resolve complex network issues, perform root cause analysis, implement preventive measures
  • Oversee monitoring/maintenance of network performance, implement/enforce security measures
  • Maintain documentation, prepare reports, mentor juniors, lead network projects, coordinate integrations
