The Digital Modernization Sector at Leidos seeks a skilled Network Design Engineer (CAN/LAN) to drive global enterprise network transformation. This role supports mission-critical operations by replacing legacy infrastructure with modern, secure service provider architectures. Work on a rare opportunity to design, engineer, and transition networks with minimal disruption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate customer needs into documented designs including diagrams, BOMs, cabling, and configurations.
  • Leverage private test labs for technology validation, change testing, and troubleshooting replication.
  • Coordinate maintenance windows for seamless user migrations to new infrastructure.
  • Deliver expert guidance to operations teams for complex fault resolution with scalable solutions.
  • Engineer STIG-compliant networks, secure ATO approvals, and align with enterprise policies.
  • Lead coordination (non-management) of network specialists for service implementation.
  • Enhance team processes, documentation, and tools for operational excellence.
  • Expand skills into MPLS WAN alongside core CAN/LAN focus.

Required Qualifications

  • TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
  • 10 years combined experience/education in network engineering (e.g., BS+6 years).
  • DoD 8140 IAT Level 2 compliance.
  • Tier III+ experience in network ops, design, implementation.
  • Hands-on Cisco/Brocade/Juniper production configs.
  • Expertise in OSPF/BGP routing, VLANs/802.1q/port-channels switching.

Desired Skills
