Role Overview
As Network Engineer in our Agile Network Operations Cell, serve as primary Base Area Network (BAN) expert for Air Combat Command (ACC) bases. Provide LAN architecture design, sustainment, and modernization expertise. Represent Leidos with government customers, support regional ACC bases including Mountain Home AFB, Beale AFB, Nellis AFB, and Creech AFB. Requires 50% travel.
Primary Responsibilities
- Engineer networks: plan, design, evaluate components.
- Specify architecture, gap analysis, technology recommendations, needs assessments.
- Implement configurations per change management.
- Handle monitoring, installation, cabling, troubleshooting, repairs, testing, maintenance.
- Draft/review documentation, communicate requirements.
- Participate in testing, train operations on new equipment.
- Support infrastructure project lifecycle.
- Foster government collaboration.
Basic Qualifications
BS + 8-12 years or MS + 6-10 years experience (or equivalent). Deep TCP/IP skills (hardware, software, NAC, QoS, services, cabling). Network admin/security, standards/protocols, NIST/FISMA. IPv4/IPv6, CCC/DNAC/ISE, Zero Trust/C2C. Excellent communication/problem-solving. Required certification: SecurityX/CASP+, CCNA, CCNP Security, CEH, GCED/GCIA/GCLD/GDSA/GFACT/GICSP/GSEC. Active Secret clearance mandatory.
