Join Leidos as a Network Engineer in Orlando, FL

The Decision Advantage Business Area at Leidos seeks an experienced Secret-cleared Network Engineer for our Orlando, FL office. Support Department of Air Force (DAF) Battle Network and digital infrastructure in a dynamic, mission-critical environment. Engage in day-to-day operations and strategic maturation of complex systems.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Deliver Network Engineering for design, implementation, maintenance, and operation of evolving network architecture.
  • Develop and review artifacts for infrastructure from on-premise switches/routers/firewalls to cloud systems.
  • Diagnose and resolve performance-impacting issues using Agile methodologies.
  • Lead hybrid SD-WAN deployment as primary resource in a technically diverse team.
  • Escalate for Network/Security Operations Center (NSOC) on issues and onboarding.
  • Collaborate with network engineers, sysadmins, developers; brief stakeholders on efforts/roadblocks.
  • Participate in cross-discipline training and mentoring.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in relevant field +10 years or MS +8 years experience.
  • Active Secret clearance (TS/SCI eligible).
  • CompTIA Security+ or DoD 8140 Intermediate.
  • Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, Identity Fundamentals.
  • Enterprise network design/implementation/troubleshooting expertise.
  • RHEL integration, network system configuration/testing/analysis, ISP troubleshooting.
  • MS Office/M365 proficiency, direct customer work, sensitive data management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Juniper SD-WAN proficiency.
  • Juniper Certified or Cisco CCNP EI.
  • Network automation experience.
  • Linux administration, virtualization technologies.
  • ITIL Change/Configuration Management.
  • IAT Level III, Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH).

  • Escalate for NSOC on network issues & vendor onboarding
  • Collaborate with engineers/admins/developers & brief stakeholders
  • Contribute to cross-discipline training/mentoring
