NYPD Training Lead
Join Leidos as the NYPD Training Lead in New York, NY, where you'll drive cutting-edge training programs for the NYPD Academy, FEMA CDP, and Counter Terrorism Unit. Collaborate with Leidos Management to plan, coordinate, and deliver high-impact training per the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Reporting to the Training Manager, you'll ensure mission-critical preparedness against CBRNE threats and mass casualty events.
Primary Responsibilities
- Maintain CDP instructor certification and supervise instructors for seamless course delivery across NYPD sites.
- Act as Leidos/CDP point of contact for NYPD, handling scheduling, delivery plans, and future needs.
- Manage student enrollment via government-approved online systems and coordinate administrative processes.
- Deliver SME expertise to develop, modify, and finalize training materials; disseminate updates to elevate instructor performance.
- Coordinate schedules with departments, teams, and support contractors; evaluate in-service training.
- Monitor instructor performance through audits, ensure safety by addressing hazards, and maintain compliant documentation.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Criminal Justice or related (Master's preferred; 10 years experience substitute).
- 5+ years managing law enforcement training for NYPD Academy or equivalent.
- 10+ years law enforcement/leadership with supervision.
- CBRNE/natural hazards knowledge; U.S. citizenship, Real ID, and full pre-placement screening required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Criminal Justice or related field.
