Join Leidos as a Penetration Tester Supporting DHS CBP SOC
Leidos seeks a skilled Penetration Tester for the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Security Operations Center (SOC), safeguarding critical US Government networks against cyber threats. This role involves comprehensive security assessments of FISMA systems, identifying vulnerabilities, and delivering actionable recommendations to strengthen CBP's enterprise-wide information systems, including LAN/WAN, cloud, wireless, and public-facing assets.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct penetration testing per CBP and industry standards.
- Execute internal/external assessments on web apps, networks, infrastructure using tools like Kali Linux, Metasploit, Burp Suite.
- Operate safely within defined guidelines, producing detailed reports with remediation steps.
- Collaborate with SOC, engineering, and security teams for vulnerability validation.
- Enhance tools, methodologies, and share knowledge across the team.
- Verify Bug Bounty findings and remediations.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with 3-5 (T3)/5-8 (T4) years experience; 3-5/5-8 years in pen testing/vulnerability assessment focusing on web/enterprise networks; additional experience in incident response/malware/forensics. 1-3/3-5 years in specialties like network, web app, AD, mobile, cloud, or RF pentesting. Proficiency in 1-3/3-5 tools: Kali, Metasploit, Burp, Cobalt Strike, Tenable, BloodHound, etc. Required: One pentesting cert (OSCP, GPEN, etc.) and CBP Background Investigation.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certs: CISSP, GXPN, OSCE, AWS Security Specialty, CKA.
- Red Team experience, SOP development, briefing leadership.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication skills.
