Key Role Overview

As Portfolio Program Ally Manager, drive strategic and tactical management of the Program Ally network serving residential and business customers. Manage energy savings, recruitment, education, compliance, and participation for contractors in HVAC, insulation, plumbing, and electrical trades. Provide ad hoc analyses, motivate participation, and enhance ally experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead Business and Residential Ally management team with performance goals.
  • Optimize Ally Network with implementation teams.
  • Manage ally network across Ameren IL territory.
  • Recruit high-profile allies personally.
  • Collaborate on marketing and training.
  • Handle onboarding, certification, and inquiries.
  • Oversee records, recertification, and reporting.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s + 3 years energy efficiency or 5+ years relevant experience.
  • Contractor/energy program delivery experience.
  • Strong communication, collaboration, task management.
  • Process streamlining expertise.
  • 50% travel readiness; IL service territory preferred.

Location & Travel

Based in Peoria, IL, with strong preference for Ameren Illinois territory (southern two-thirds of IL). Up to 50% local travel, occasional overnights.

  • Proven process streamlining and document control abilities (experience)
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (experience)
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% locally with occasional overnights (experience)
  • Project/program management experience desired (experience)
  • Ability to work flexibly with changing schedules (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Lead team of Business and Residential Program Ally managers, setting performance goals and strategies
  • Develop optimal Program Ally Network with energy efficiency implementation team
  • Manage Prospective and Participating Program Ally Network across HVAC, Insulation, Plumbing, Electrical trades
  • Engage personally in ally recruitment for high-need areas and high-profile candidates
  • Collaborate on marketing messaging for existing and potential allies
  • Facilitate external training and continuing education for allies
  • Serve as operational point of contact for onboarding, enrollment, certification, and data updates
  • Respond to ally inquiries, provide resources, incentives, performance data, and issue resolution
  • Oversee ally records, ICC recertification, and generate strategic reports
  • Deliver frequent reporting on goals and KPIs; report to Deputy Program Director
