Leidos seeks a Principal Software Engineer for its Analysis Solutions Business Area in Bethesda, MD. Job Summary
Build robust systems, software, and cloud environments. Provide operations/maintenance for critical systems. Deliver technical expertise in design, development, implementation, and testing of customer tools using DevOps frameworks. Lead projects through full SDLC: estimation, architecture, design, coding, unit testing.
Primary Responsibilities
- Direct programming in Java, JavaScript, Python, SpringBoot, Hibernate.
- Develop validation/testing with Junit, Katalon; leverage automated deployments.
- Prototype/deploy cloud solutions using AWS, Azure, Google Cloud services.
- Collaborate with teams for User Story alignment to mission use cases.
- Drive Agile/SDLC with SAFe, GitHub, Jenkins, bash, JIRA, Confluence.
- Analyze infrastructure via POC, performance, end-to-end testing.
- Innovate with best practices for customer technical needs.
Basic Qualifications
- Deep Agile, service-oriented, DevOps experience.
- Expertise in Java, Spring, C2S, SDLC, DevOps tools.
- Proven testing with Junit/Katalon, Python/Bash in Agile.
- Cloud development: AWS/Azure/GCP, S3/RDS/EFS.
- Version control/issue tracking proficiency.
- BS +12yrs or MS +10yrs experience.
- Active TS/SCI with polygraph.
Preferred Qualifications
- Structured analysis/design methodologies.
- Customer system development policy knowledge.

- In-depth experience with Commercial Cloud Platforms (AWS, Google Cloud, Azure) and data services (experience)
- In-depth experience using version control and issue tracking systems (experience)
- Experience with Agile practices, SAFe, service-oriented environments (experience)
Responsibilities
- Participate in/direct software programming using Java, JavaScript, Python, SpringBoot, Hibernate
- Develop software validation/testing methods using Junit, Katalon, and automated deployment
- Develop, prototype, deploy solutions in Commercial Cloud leveraging infrastructure services
- Coordinate with team, Product Owners, Scrum Masters for User Story alignment
- Support Agile lifecycle with SAFe, DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins, JIRA, Confluence
- Analyze and coordinate infrastructure needs via POC, performance, end-to-end testing
- Apply best practices for innovative solutions meeting customer mission needs
