Principal Software Engineer - TS/SCI Polygraph with $25K Sign-On Bonus

Leidos is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join our Intel Sector, Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA) in Fort Meade, MD. Contribute to national security through cutting-edge work in Security Engineering, Computer Network Operations (CNO), Mission Software, SIGINT, and Cryptographic Key Management. This role offers a $25,000 Sign-On Bonus and supports a complex, impactful program in a fast-paced Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements
• Debug existing software and correct defects
• Design and code new software or modify existing to add features
• Integrate existing software into new or modified systems
• Develop simple data queries for databases or repositories
• Write or review software and system documentation
• Develop algorithms meeting system performance standards

Basic Qualifications

• 20 years SWE experience (or Bachelor's + 16 years) in similar programs
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance
• Proven track record in debugging, design analysis, integration, and documentation

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with Git, Linux, Jira, Confluence, Eclipse
• Agile Scrum methodologies
• React, Vue, or Angular experience
• Technical team leadership
• Complex database interfaces/queries
• Quality control in software development
