Principal Software Tool Developer (SWE-4) at Leidos

Leidos is seeking a Principal Software Tool Developer (SWE-4) to join our cutting-edge team in the Intel Sector, based in Annapolis Junction, MD. This role is pivotal in delivering mission-critical solutions for Security Engineering, Computer Network Operations (CNO), Mission Software, SIGINT, and Cryptographic Key Management. Be part of a fast-paced environment driving rapid prototyping, new development, and advanced technology research to empower national security.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive end-to-end development of cryptanalytic tools, transforming research concepts into deployable prototypes and algorithms.
  • Collaborate with mission stakeholders, researchers, and end-users to innovate tools enhancing daily cryptanalytic engineering and analysis.
  • Master existing enterprise Java toolbases: analyze documentation, implement new parameters, lead architecture reviews, and manage releases, testing, debugging, and maintenance.
  • Leverage proficiency in JAVA, Python, Rust, C++, TypeScript, Visual Studio, and GitLab for robust development.
  • Explore desirable skills like graph transformations to alternative structures, digital logic emulation, object-oriented re-architecture, and optimized file parsing/generation.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree + 12-15 years software development experience (or equivalent).
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance required.
