Principal Solutions Architect at Leidos

Leidos partners with the DoD's Military & Family Life Counseling (MFLC) Program to deliver cutting-edge digital health, data, mobile, and enterprise IT platforms supporting service members and families worldwide. Join as the Principal Solutions Architect, the technical authority defining and governing end-to-end architecture across applications, data, infrastructure, security, and integrations in a multi-platform cloud environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design health IT solutions emphasizing interoperability with external providers.
  • Lead architecture for PIC/SLA dashboards, finance, timesheets, mobile, and analytics.
  • Govern API-based, service-oriented, event-driven patterns integrating internal/external systems.
  • Evaluate COTS/SaaS/cloud for DoD compliance, Zero Trust, IL-4+, NIST.
  • Develop artifacts: diagrams, data flows, security models, roadmaps.
  • Provide leadership to engineering teams; conduct cost/risk analyses.
  • Ensure alignment with program SLAs, budgets; resolve complex issues.

Required Expertise

BS/MS with 12-15/10-13 years experience (or equivalent). Advanced in C#/.NET, Linux/RHEL, AWS GovCloud, JavaScript/Vue, databases (SQL/Kafka/Trino/DBT), BI (Superset/Tableau), IAM, data governance. U.S. Citizenship mandatory.

  • IAM design for identity/access/logging/audit (experience)
  • Multi-system enterprise platform design (experience)
  • Reference architectures/integration patterns/technical standards (experience)
  • U.S. Citizenship required (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Design/implement health IT solutions with interoperability focus
  • Serve as accountable technical authority for enterprise architecture
  • Define/govern reference architectures, integration patterns, technical standards
  • Architect PIC/SLA dashboards, finance, timesheets, mobile, analytics
  • Design API/service-oriented/event-driven integrations
  • Evaluate COTS/SaaS/cloud solutions for compliance/cost
  • Lead design/integration/validation/fielding of solutions
  • Ensure DoD/NIST/Zero Trust/IL-4+ compliance
  • Develop architecture artifacts (diagrams, roadmaps)
  • Provide technical leadership to Data/Infrastructure/Software teams
  • Perform cost/risk/trade-off analyses
  • Partner on schedule/budget/SLA commitments
  • Integrate commercial products within IT/cyber constraints
  • Lead stakeholder engagements, Scrum participation
