Join Leidos Defense Sector as Product Configuration Manager
Leidos Defense Sector seeks a talented Product Configuration Manager (PCM) for our Huntsville, AL team, delivering innovative solutions in defense, space, cyber, and commercial domains. Work on-site 4+ days/week to manage complex product configurations from development to fielding.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee product design changes, configuration identification, and system-wide impacts.
- Develop and manage product structure, effectivity, serial numbers, and solutions for technical issues.
- Collaborate with customers, logistics, fielding teams, engineering, software, quality, procurement, and production.
- Review CDRLs, SDRLs, item/change records in PLM systems; execute CM/DM processes per standards.
- Ensure authorized configurations in fielded systems and support lifecycle management.
Basic Qualifications
- BS in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or relevant field + 8-12 years experience; or HS/GED + 15 years in CM/DM.
- Expertise in configuration principles, product effectivity, interchangeability (ASME Y14.100, MIL-I-8500D, EIA-649).
- Knowledge of BOMs, drawings, schematics; proficient in MS Office, Adobe PDF, SharePoint.
- Strong organizational, communication skills; collaborative team player.
- North Alabama resident or willing to relocate.
Preferred Qualifications
- 3+ years design engineering with production/liaison experience.
- NDIA CDM, CMII, or CM/DM certifications.
- Knowledge of mechanical, electrical, software CM practices.
