Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot software for assessment delivery, scoring, and research, including computer-adaptive testing (CAT) environments.
  • Implement sophisticated algorithms for scoring, data extraction, item selection, and system analytics.
  • Perform rigorous quality assurance, including unit testing, system testing, debugging, and troubleshooting.
  • Manage databases, configure systems, and produce comprehensive documentation.
  • Collaborate with analytic and psychometric teams to build data processing tools and research systems.

Required Qualifications

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree + 5+ years in programming, database management, and analysis.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in C++, Java, Python, C#; experience with R, SAS, SPSS; database querying and data workflows.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving, communication, independent work, and adaptability.
  • Clearance: US Citizenship; eligible for DoD CAC, FBI check, NACI.
  • Location: Near Seaside, CA for occasional on-site.

Preferred Qualifications

  • DoD experience, familiarity with DTAC, federal IT, CAT systems, or secure datasets.
  • Knowledge of version control and information assurance.
