Leidos Engineering is seeking an experienced Project Cost Analyst for our Strategic Project & Program Consulting Team within the Power Delivery Solutions division. Support electric utility clients by delivering comprehensive project management services alongside project managers and engineering leads. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, monitor, and maintain budgets for engineering and construction projects in transmission and distribution for public-owned and investor-owned utilities.
  • Utilize earned value management techniques to align forecasts and costs, creating recovery plans to stay within limits.
  • Track team utilization metrics and collaborate with AEP’s Center of Excellence to align resources with project goals.
  • Partner with Engineering Leads to ensure timely client deliverables.
  • Generate weekly/monthly project control reports for client and internal review.
  • Interface directly with clients and management on portfolio progress, schedules, and risks across electrical distribution projects.
  • Support project managers in building and maintaining dashboard reports and KPI tracking.

Required Background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
  • 3+ years in project controls/cost analysis.
  • Proven knowledge of ECOSYS enterprise project performance software.
  • In-depth expertise in electric power infrastructure (transmission, substation, distribution).
  • Strong organizational skills for planning, directing, and tracking technical efforts.
  • Client interaction capabilities with excellent communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Project suite, especially Excel.
  • AEP experience preferred.

  • Proficiency in MS Project suite with emphasis on Excel (experience)
  • Experience with AEP preferred (experience)
  • Ability to track cost/schedule status and interact with clients (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Engineering Leads to track client deliverables
  • Produce weekly/monthly project control reports

  • Assist in creating/maintaining project dashboards and KPI tracking
