Job Description

Join Leidos' Undersea Systems Division as a Quality Assurance Engineer

Leidos is revolutionizing maritime missions for the Department of Defense, Intelligence Community, and commercial clients at our ISO 9001 certified facility in Lynnwood, WA. We're seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to ensure flawless execution of advanced undersea technology solutions. Primary Responsibilities

  • Drive program quality planning, analyzing QA requirements and developing test procedures/inspection checklists.
  • Participate in design/program reviews to embed quality into products and processes.
  • Review/approve drawings, process plans, and conduct inspections on components/assemblies.
  • Witness testing, document findings, and manage nonconforming materials through MRB processes.
  • Collect metrics, lead corrective actions, perform root cause analysis, and support internal audits.
  • Coordinate supplier RMAs, maintain approved lists, and support proposal quality estimations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree + 0-4 years experience.
  • US Citizen, Secret clearance eligible.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Project).
  • ISO 9001:2015 knowledge; experience in audits, RCA, test witnessing.
  • Exceptional multitasking, communication, analytical skills; drawing interpretation.

Preferred Qualifications

  • ISO 9001/AS9100 audit experience.
  • Windchill PLM and ERP systems.

  • Participate in design reviews to incorporate quality attributes
  • Review and approve drawings and process plans
  • Conduct quality inspections and witness testing
  • Document nonconformances, lead material reviews and corrective actions
  • Support quality metrics collection and internal audits
  • Analyze non-conformance trends and drive improvements
  • Coordinate RMA returns and supplier corrective actions
  • Support proposals with quality requirements estimation
