Position Overview

As a Quality Engineer Specialist at Leidos Dynetics, support mechanical manufacturing, assembly, integration, and testing for aerospace and defense. Work on high-energy weapons, hypersonics, and DoD contracts in a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop quality plans, inspection procedures, and AS9102 FAI documentation.
  • Manage nonconformances, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
  • Interface with DCMA and government QA, conduct supplier audits.
  • Lead Romer Arm, Laser Tracker, and Blue Light inspections.
  • Support PDR/CDR, APQP, PPAP, DFMEA/PFMEA reviews.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's + 8 years in ISO9001/AS9100 or DOD/Aerospace QC.
  • Non-conformance handling, failure analysis, QMS documentation expertise.
  • Contract interpretation and quality procedure development.
  • Team collaboration; lift 25 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Systems Engineering knowledge.
  • Advanced GD&T (ASME Y14.5-2009).
  • 10+ years with Romer, Leica Trackers, CMM; software like Spatial Analyzer, PC-DMIS.

  • Ability to interpret contracts, develop quality plans, and AS9102 FAI documentation (experience)
  • Strong team communication in collaborative, multi-disciplinary environments (experience)
  • Capable of lifting up to 25 lbs (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Perform program quality planning and analyze QA requirements
  • Develop inspection/test procedures, process plans, and source inspection checklists
  • Coordinate nonconformance documentation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Review AS9102 FAI, drawings, and support DCMA/government QA agencies
  • Collect/report quality metrics and support design/manufacturing reviews (PDR, CDR, APQP, PPAP)
  • Conduct supplier surveillance audits and lead special inspections (Romer, Tracker, Blue Light)
