At Leidos, our Defense Systems – Platform Integration Facility in Huntsville, AL, is seeking a skilled Quality Inspector to ensure electro-mechanical parts and assemblies meet rigorous standards. Your precision will directly support mission-critical defense hardware, from cable assemblies to structural components.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed inspections of piece parts, components, and electro-mechanical assemblies using tools like micrometers, calipers, and multimeters.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, test plans, and GD&T specifications.
- Perform material verification, generate inspection reports, bubble prints, and Certificates of Conformance.
- Identify non-conformances, document NCRs, and assist in root cause analysis and Material Review Board processes.
- Support receiving inspection, acceptance testing, calibration, and documentation control in a fast-paced ISO9001/AS9100 environment.
Basic Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED with 5+ years in quality control (DoD, Aerospace, Automotive).
- Proficiency with inspection tools and technical documentation.
- U.S. Citizenship; eligible for DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with complex aerospace hardware, AS9102 First Article Inspection, and Acceptance Data Packs.
- Knowledge of AS5553 counterfeit prevention and handling non-conforming materials.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
