Leidos seeks innovative Quantum Computer Scientists for its Quantum Incubator in Arlington, VA. Dive into cutting-edge research on quantum networks, algorithms, and simulation software. Mature technologies from concept to prototype in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment. Multiple openings at T3 (Bachelor’s +4 years) and T4 (Bachelor’s +8 years) levels.
Primary Responsibilities
- Design, simulate, and analyze quantum communication, sensing, and PNT devices.
- Develop novel quantum communication and distributed device protocols.
- Create high-fidelity simulation software for quantum experiments.
- Lead large-scale quantum device simulation development.
- Collaborate with engineers and scientists to advance organizational quantum goals.
Basic Qualifications
- Research in CS theory, quantum algorithms, networks, or nonlocality.
- Familiarity with Qiskit, Pennylane, SeQUeNCe, QuTIP.
- Python/Matlab/Mathematica/Git experience.
- Strong technical writing for proposals.
- US Citizenship; clearance eligible.
- Motivated to publish and present research.
Preferred Qualifications
- PhD in CS, physics, math, or engineering.
- Quantum info/comms theory expertise.
- Quantum networks, hybrid processing, quantum advantage areas.
- Experience winning research funding; DoD TS clearance.
