Leidos seeks a highly skilled Radar/Communications Engineer for the NISC team supporting FAA surveillance and radar modernization. Thrive in a collaborative environment tackling mission-critical systems with emphasis on FAA compliance and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver engineering consultation ensuring compliance in contract policy site survey design implementation phases.
  • Manage project planning implementation logistics strategy and advise on national engineering policies for radar modernization.
  • Create simulations graphical solutions using industry software for complex engineering challenges.
  • Facilitate NAS integration coordinating radar communications automation systems.
  • Oversee National Change Proposals Configuration Control Board and departmental website.
  • Design analyze review electrical circuits components subsystems for radar surveillance.
  • Develop requirements support integration test validation activities.
  • Conduct system component troubleshooting failure analysis root cause investigations.
  • Prepare review technical docs including schematics wiring diagrams design reports.
  • Participate in design reviews configuration management risk assessments field installations.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Electrical Engineering + 8-12 years or Master's + 6-10 years relevant experience.
  • Proven communication via thesis white papers publications.
  • CAD tools proficiency radar RF microwave hands-on experience.
  • Analog digital circuits knowledge RADAR signal processing tools.
  • Interdisciplinary collaboration presentation skills to diverse audiences.
  • Familiarity with IEC IEEE UL NFPA NEC standards.

Preferred Qualifications

  • FAA work experience DoD systems policies.
  • Independent collaborative strategic thinking work breakdown structures.
  • High initiative in fast-paced dynamic environments organized approach.

Pay Range: $107,900 - $195,050 USD yearly. Leidos outthinks outbuilds outpaces the status quo. Disrupt provoke refuse to fail. Original posting October 2 2025 remains open minimum 3 days.
