Leidos Defense Systems is seeking a talented Radar Signal Processing Engineer to join our Sensor Innovation Portfolio team. Primary Responsibilities

  • Research and develop advanced digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms for radar applications.
  • Perform high-fidelity radar and RF modeling, simulation, analysis, including tool development and maintenance.
  • Integrate and field test RF sensors and systems, supporting CONUS/OCONUS deployments.
  • Tackle diverse tasks in signal processing, tracker processing, performance metrics, sensor simulation, and utility tools.
  • Leverage strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks while ensuring codebase compatibility.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS in Electrical Engineering (ABET-accredited) + 4-8 years OR MS + 2-6 years relevant experience.
  • Excellent math skills in signals/systems, DSP, tracking algorithms, or electromagnetics.
  • Apply skills to radar modeling, antenna theory, DSP, tracking, algorithm development, and field testing.
  • Experience evaluating/implementing IEEE scientific literature.
  • Proficiency in Matlab, Python for linear systems, DSP, tracking, or electromagnetics.
  • US Citizen, SECRET clearance eligible, local to Huntsville/North AL or willing to relocate (no remote).

Preferred Qualifications

  • GPS signal demodulation/interpretation experience.
  • C++/CUDA high-performance computing.
  • Radar HWIL development/operations.
  • ADCs/DACs, clock distribution, embedded systems.
  • Radar/communications program experience.
  • Proven independent work in fast-paced settings.
