Leidos Defense Systems Land Systems is seeking a seasoned Rapid Response Engineer to drive missile defense projects within the BMD Simulations and Analysis Portfolio. Leverage your expertise in troubleshooting anomalies, defects, and process issues using structured methodologies like 5 Whys and Fishbone diagrams. Work onsite in Huntsville with cross-functional teams including software developers, architects, testers, and integrators to prototype solutions and document impacts for stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead RCA investigations for technical failures and quality incidents
- Analyze data from system logs, tests, and customer feedback
- Perform detailed software failure analysis
- Collaborate across Agile environments and customer sites
- Develop preventive solutions and train team members
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s (20-25 yrs exp) or Master’s (15-20 yrs) in relevant field
- Deep knowledge of C++, Java, or Python
- Expert debugging skills (hands-on/remote)
- Git proficiency; analytical prowess
- Active Secret Clearance; North AL resident; full-time onsite
Preferred Skills
- Agile/Scrum, Jira, Java UI, multi-threading
- MDA sensors, missile defense, modeling/simulation
- Systems engineering concepts
