Join Leidos, a top 10 T&D and Power firm per Engineering News-Record, in delivering innovative utility substation and renewable energy solutions. Our Framingham, MA team seeks a dynamic Relay Settings Engineering Manager to lead high-impact projects for electric utilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead 8+ engineers in relay settings from 4.16kV to 500kV, including set points, IEC61850 logic diagrams, and documentation.
  • Manage team performance, review client scopes, and conduct quality assurance on settings packages.
  • Collaborate with substation, protection & controls, and civil teams; interface with clients, vendors, and field engineers.
  • Tackle complex problems across project planning, design, and construction support while ensuring NERC PRC compliance.

Required Qualifications

  • BSEE with 10+ years in power engineering; proven team leadership experience.
  • Expertise in relay settings for SEL, GE, ABB, Alstom relays (line differential, distance, transformers, buses).
  • Proficiency in Aspen OneLiner, ETAP, SKM, CAPE for studies; protection scheme implementation.
  • Strong communication, deadline management, and independent problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Proposal development, PTC MathCAD, QA/QC, relay testing.
  • Power consulting/utility background; ~15% travel.
