Leidos is seeking an experienced Satellite Systems Engineer to deliver subject matter expertise in Space Vehicle and Ground Station infrastructure integration for a key government customer. Located in Washington, DC, this role demands deep knowledge of space system acquisition, production, integration, and test phases. Key Responsibilities
- Construct and review engineering documents while providing SME support for source selections.
- Oversee contractor production, integration, and test activities, delivering detailed progress reports.
- Advise the customer’s System Program Director on strategic foundations for present and future initiatives.
- Tackle highly complex, multi-dimensional problems impacting project outcomes.
- Lead innovative product and solution development through collaboration with field experts.
Required Qualifications
- BS in Aerospace Engineering or related field with 12+ years relevant experience; or Master’s with 10+ years.
- Demonstrated experience with DoD Special Access Programs or IC equivalents.
- Proven support in government acquisition program offices (military, SETA, or civil servant).
- Active Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility; SAP access eligibility; willingness for Counterintelligence polygraph.
Preferred Skills and Abilities
- Work effectively in dynamic settings with DoD, military, civilian, and industry partners.
- Strong Microsoft Office proficiency (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
- Exceptional communication skills for executive-level interactions.
