Leidos seeks a talented Scientific Data Visualization Specialist for the High Performance Computing Modernization Program (HPCMP) Integrated Technical Services (HITS) at the Data Analysis and Visualization (DAV) Center in Aberdeen, MD. Support cutting-edge data analysis and visualization on HPC systems, delivering interactive tools to scientists and engineers. All candidates must be eligible for Top Secret Clearance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, maintain, and optimize tools like ParaView, VisIt, EnSight in client-server mode via Secure Remote Desktop.
  • Design workflows for users at all skill levels, curating data from HPC systems.
  • Ensure data compatibility, developing conversion methods as needed.
  • Collaborate with vendors, government, and partners like DOE to advance DAV capabilities.
  • Act as SME, guiding projects from goals to custom solutions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in engineering, computer science, or related field + 4 years experience (substitutable).
  • Expertise in ParaView/VisIt/EnSight, scientific visualization, HPC.
  • Linux/Unix, shell scripting, PBS/SLURM/LSF, MPI, CMake, C++/Python/Fortran, GIT, SSH.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.

Preferred Skills

  • Master's + 2 years experience.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, multitasking in dynamic environments.

  • Collaborate with HPC vendors, government personnel, and security staff to ensure tool functionality post-upgrades
  • Convert isosurface inputs into consumable formats for DAV Center software
  • Serve as subject matter expert for scientific data visualization projects, partnering with users to achieve goals
  • Participate in cross-HPCMP collaborations and maintain relationships with partners like Department of Energy
