Security Infrastructure Engineer

Join Leidos' elite Cybersecurity team supporting the J6 Penetration Handling, Incident, System Health (PHISH) task order on the GSM-O contract. Provide IT products, services, and solutions to the Pentagon and DoD agencies for mission-critical cyber defense. Operate and maintain 24x7x365 network security infrastructure for cybersecurity analysts, with 40% hybrid telework and 60% on-site in Alexandria, VA.

Primary Responsibilities

• Collaborate with government, contractors, and teams to deploy policies, rules, and signatures on IDS/IPS, Netflow, SIEM, Snort, Linux, and virtualization.
• Manage high-priority tasks, outages, and change control processes.
• Develop and improve SOPs, TTPs, and maintain accurate network/elevation diagrams.
• Strategize security enhancements with leadership, delivering briefings on status, patches, issues, and upgrades.
• Ensure compliance with DoD standards while troubleshooting complex infrastructure.

Required Qualifications

• Active DoD TS/SCI clearance and DoD 8570 IAT II (Security+ CE or equivalent); obtain CSSP Infrastructure Support within 6 months.
• Bachelor's + 8+ years experience (or equivalent military/relevant experience).
• 2+ years with cybersecurity tools, especially IDS/IPS; network traffic knowledge; Windows/Linux expertise.

Preferred Qualifications

• Automation (Ansible, Puppet, Chef); deep cybersecurity tech knowledge; threat lifecycle/ATT&CK familiarity.
• SOC analyst experience; strong communication for technical reports.
