At Leidos, contribute to Trusted Mission AI solutions for defense, intelligence, healthcare, energy, and space. Develop transparent, ethical, resilient AI that transitions research to operations with uncompromising accuracy, security, and reliability. Tackle complex challenges across enterprise IT, health, defense, and more, delivering measurably superior outcomes.
Primary Responsibilities
Collaborate with Agentic AI Scientists to build/deploy AI agents automating workflows and unlocking new human capabilities. As part of the Leidos AI Accelerator, balance R&D with customer-facing goals. Write code for agent communication, API connections, testing, debugging, deployment, monitoring, and reliable execution using open-source models, agentic tools, and proprietary LLMs. Innovate in securing agentic workflows, evaluating accuracy/performance/impact, and upholding ethical guidelines.
Conduct research, prototype development, result evaluation, documentation, publications, and conference presentations. Integrate solutions into mission systems as a self-starting team player sharing insights and seeking feedback.
Basic Qualifications
- LLM/agent framework experience (LangChain, etc.)
- Design/implement tool-using agents (API, RAG, memory)
- Vector DBs (Pinecone, etc.); Python proficiency
- SDLC/DevSecOps; container deployment
- Secret clearance eligibility; strong communication
Experience Levels
Multiple openings (T3-T6): Bachelor's +4-12 years, Master's +2-15 years, or Doctorate +13 years.
