The Leidos Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) is a high-growth organization driving the company's technology strategy. Our Operational AI (Ops.AI) division seeks a Senior Data Scientist to deliver high-impact solutions, translating complex business challenges into data-driven insights for mission-critical outcomes.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead model development for predictive analytics in mission-critical applications.
  • Collaborate with domain experts to apply advanced data science and ML techniques.
  • Ensure data quality, integrity, and adherence to responsible AI principles.
  • Communicate insights effectively to stakeholders for decision-making.
  • Innovate by integrating latest data science and ML advancements.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in quantitative field + 8+ years or Master’s + 6+ years as data scientist.
  • Strong Python/R proficiency with libraries like pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch.
  • Solid statistics, AI/ML, experimental design foundation.
  • U.S. Citizen; able to obtain security clearance.
  • Remote/hybrid flexibility.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Defense, intelligence, or federal sector experience.
  • Work with large/unstructured datasets (text, imagery).
  • Cloud ML platforms (AWS SageMaker, Azure ML).
  • Data viz tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Generative AI and LLMs knowledge.
