In the Defense Systems Sector's Indirect Fires & Force Protection (IF&FP) Business Area, we design advanced ground-based air defense systems, processing capabilities, and force protection solutions for primary customers including U.S. Army (PEO IEW&S, PEO M&S, Army Space and Missile Defense Command), U.S. Air Force, and Missile Defense Agency.

Executive Leadership Role Driving Growth

As Senior Director, Growth, provide executive leadership for all business development, strategy, capture, and proposal activities. Accountable for enterprise-level performance including revenue growth, pipeline health, capture excellence, customer engagement, and investment strategy. Lead multi-disciplinary growth team and advise Business Area/Sector leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define/execute growth strategies aligned with customer priorities and enterprise goals
  • Lead senior customer relationships fostering trusted DoD partnerships
  • Oversee pipeline prioritization, bid decisions, PWin rigor, and major capture execution
  • Champion compliant, differentiated proposals with strong customer focus
  • Align technology investments, IR&D, and adjacent opportunities with CTO/solution architects
  • Build/mentor high-performing teams with talent strategy and succession planning
  • Provide oversight for B&P/IR&D investments and M&A evaluations

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in scientific/engineering discipline + 20+ years experience, senior leadership
  • 15+ years BD/capture/growth leadership in defense/aerospace
  • Executive relationships in U.S. Army/Huntsville community
  • Proven large complex capture wins and multi-year strategy execution

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced degree (MBA/technical master’s)
  • FAR-based procurements, DoD budget/acquisition expertise

Responsibilities

  • Provide executive leadership for business development, capture, proposal, and growth strategy in IF&FP Business Area
  • Partner with VP Program Integration Growth to execute near- and long-term strategies aligned with customer priorities
  • Serve on Business Area Leadership Team contributing to P&L, financial performance, and strategic decisions
  • Lead senior-level customer engagement with U.S. Army, Air Force, Missile Defense Agency stakeholders
  • Drive pipeline development, bid decisions, capture execution, and investment oversight
  • Mentor high-performing growth team and oversee B&P, IR&D investments
  • Advise on growth risks, M&A evaluations, and strategic partnerships
