Leidos delivers innovative solutions in hypersonics, airborne effectors, space, and advanced manufacturing. The Kinetic Effects Business Area seeks a strategic leader for its multi-billion-dollar ($12B+) pipeline serving U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, DoE, NASA, and commercial customers.
Executive Leadership Role
Accountable for growth performance including awards, pipeline, customer engagement, and strategy execution. Lead business development team as key Business Area Leadership Team member with P&L responsibility. Partner with VP Program Integration Growth and CTO on technology investments and market expansion.

Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s in science/engineering + 20+ years experience, 15+ years BD leadership. Proven capture wins, customer access, growth strategy execution.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in scientific or engineering discipline with 20+ years relevant experience including senior leadership (experience)
- 15+ years progressive experience in business development, capture, and growth leadership (experience)
- Established executive-level relationships with U.S. Army, Air Force, Navy, DoE, NASA, and Huntsville defense community (experience)
- Proven record leading and winning large complex competitive captures (experience)
- Extensive knowledge of customer missions, acquisition organizations, and funding priorities (experience)
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute multi-year growth strategies (experience)
Responsibilities
- Provide executive leadership for business development, capture, proposal, and growth strategy activities
- Partner with senior leadership to define and execute growth strategies aligned with customer priorities
- Serve as core member of Business Area Leadership Team contributing to P&L ownership and strategic decisions
- Lead senior-level customer engagement ensuring alignment between needs and solutions
- Drive pipeline development, opportunity prioritization, bid decisions, and investment alignment
- Oversee capture and proposal execution for strategic opportunities
- Lead team development, performance management, and workforce planning
- Provide oversight of B&P, IR&D investments and growth performance forecasting
- Support M&A evaluations and strategic partnerships
