Supervise a talented team of electrical engineers designing next-generation solutions, from unmanned underwater vehicles (UUVs) to advanced sensor systems. Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Coach, mentor, hire, manage performance, and grow electrical engineers.
  • Technical Expertise: Serve as SME in electrical/electronic design, test, analysis; oversee prototypes from design to installation.
  • System Development: Analyze/simulate/test circuitry for signal processing, amplification, power management; integrate sensors, cables, power subsystems.
  • Documentation & Testing: Generate drawings, ECOs per ISO9001:2015; develop test plans for lab/at-sea execution.
  • Program Leadership: Act as Technical Lead, present to leadership/customers, drive improvements and standards.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (10+ years) or Master's (8+ years) in hardware design/integration/test.
  • Secret Clearance eligibility (Active preferred).
  • Altium Designer; CCA design (analog/digital/mixed/high-voltage); MATLAB/VISIO/LTSpice; test equipment proficiency.
  • Self-directed planning; MS Office/Project; digital power loop design.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience with technical teams.
  • UUV electronics/sensors, underwater cables, power systems, acoustics.
  • Optics experience.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise, mentor, and manage electrical engineering team including hiring, performance, and development
  • Lead design, analysis, and documentation of electrical power and electronic systems
  • Analyze, simulate, design, and test digital/analog circuitry for signal processing, power management
  • Evaluate, select, and integrate sensors, cables, connectors, power subsystems
  • Develop test plans, execute lab/at-sea testing, and generate engineering drawings/ECOs
  • Serve as Technical Lead, present solutions to leadership and customers
  • Drive design improvements and update system standards
