Join Leidos as a Senior Systems Engineer in Fort Belvoir, VA

Leidos is seeking a dynamic Senior Systems Engineer to join our Systems Engineering, Integration, & Test (SEI&T) team at Fort Belvoir, VA. This role supports the Missile Defense Agency's (MDA) Special Access Program Central Office (SAPCO), where you'll drive innovation in national defense. Protect sensitive technologies, design robust test architectures, and lead engineering excellence in a high-stakes environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Guard critical technologies by leading taskforce efforts to evaluate integration, protect CPI, facilitate LCCP working groups, and brief leadership.
• Design test architectures for missile defense systems including sensors, interceptors, weapon systems, and communications; conduct risk assessments in multi-level security settings.
• Drive cross-functional teams through reviews of requirements, specifications, test plans, and strategies for next-generation capabilities.
• Execute specialized security strategies, including Program Protection Plans and Security Classification Guides.

Basic Qualifications

• Master’s degree in science/engineering + 10+ years experience.
• Active DoD Top Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility.
• Missile Defense experience in DoD/W environments (sensors, interceptors, C2BMC, FMS, LO/CLO).
• Exceptional technical writing, verbal skills, and real-time briefing adaptability.
• Action Officer background with proactive coordination and deadline management.

Preferred Qualifications

• DoD special programs and SAP policy experience.
• Extreme attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong retention of program details, classifications, and roles.
