Transform technology for those who serve at Leidos' Digital Modernization sector. We're architecting secure cloud solutions for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) at C5ISC in Alexandria, VA. As a Senior Information System Security Engineer (ISSE), lead cloud security governance, enabling operational agility and resilience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Architect secure infrastructure across AWS and Azure platforms.
- Enforce security policies, standards, and automation frameworks.
- Conduct threat modeling, risk assessments, and incident response.
- Embed security in CI/CD pipelines and DevOps processes.
- Manage ICAM, encryption, and key systems.
- Monitor with SIEM, CSPM, CWPP tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams for secure adoption.
- Proactively mitigate emerging threats.
- Drive continuous improvement aligned with USCG priorities.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related.
- 8-12 years in information security engineering.
- Deep AWS/Azure security expertise.
- Cloud-native controls and shared responsibility knowledge.
- Terraform, Ansible, Puppet experience.
- Docker, Kubernetes hands-on.
- Required certs: CCSP, AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer.
- Strong communication and fast-paced adaptability.
- U.S. Citizen; Public Trust/DoD Secret eligible.
Preferred Qualifications
- Zero trust and multi-cloud strategies.
- FedRAMP, SOC 2, HIPAA, PCI-DSS compliance.
- Python, Bash, PowerShell scripting.
- DHS/USCG federal cloud experience.
- DoD 8570: Security+, CISSP, CASP+, ISSEP.
