- Ability to conduct forensic analysis of compromised systems (experience)
Responsibilities
- Lead forensic analysis of compromised systems and media to identify adversary TTPs
- Perform static/dynamic malware analysis, reverse engineering, and file extraction
- Create technical reports, threat briefs, and presentations for leadership
- Develop signatures, heuristics, and MD5 hash lists for threat detection
- Analyze logs/systems for threat detection and update DoD situational awareness
- Conduct risk assessments and categorize cyber threats
- Collaborate with USCYBERCOM teams to enhance threat response
- Research OSINT to inform threat assessments and maintain APT/TTP knowledge
- Oversee security incident response policies and support tool development
- Provide situational awareness to Crisis Action Teams and OPTs
