Key Responsibilities

  • Lead advanced forensic and malware analysis, including reverse engineering and TTP identification.

  • Conduct log analysis across Windows, UNIX, and routers; update USCYBERCOM portals.

Required Qualifications

  • 8+ years of demonstrated experience in malware analysis or cyber operations (experience)
  • Expertise in adversary TTPs and intrusion artifacts (experience)
  • Proficiency in Windows, UNIX, router log analysis (experience)
  • Experience with USCYBERCOM or DoD networks (experience)
  • Ability to conduct forensic analysis of compromised systems (experience)

Responsibilities

  • Lead forensic analysis of compromised systems and media to identify adversary TTPs
  • Perform static/dynamic malware analysis, reverse engineering, and file extraction
  • Create technical reports, threat briefs, and presentations for leadership
  • Develop signatures, heuristics, and MD5 hash lists for threat detection
  • Analyze logs/systems for threat detection and update DoD situational awareness
  • Conduct risk assessments and categorize cyber threats
  • Collaborate with USCYBERCOM teams to enhance threat response
  • Research OSINT to inform threat assessments and maintain APT/TTP knowledge
  • Oversee security incident response policies and support tool development
  • Provide situational awareness to Crisis Action Teams and OPTs
