Senior Network Tool Engineer Role
Join Leidos' Intelligence Sector as a Senior Network Tool Engineer in Chantilly, VA. This critical role demands expertise in Cisco Network Services Orchestrator (NSO) to drive network automation and orchestration for high-stakes missions.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain Cisco NSO solutions ensuring high availability, performance, and reliability.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues using NSO logs and monitoring for root cause analysis.
- Integrate NSO with network devices and APIs via NETCONF, RESTCONF, and JSON-RPC.
- Develop automation scripts in Python or Java to enhance operational efficiency.
- Execute maintenance tasks like NED upgrades, patching, security audits, and backups.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and ops teams for integrated solutions.
- Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
- TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- 12 years experience (BS + 8-12 years or MS + 6-10 years).
- DoD 8140 IAT Level 2 compliance.
- Expertise in networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, MPLS).
- Strong Linux (RHEL) skills for software installation/upgrades.
- Intermediate Python scripting.
- Proven analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hands-on Cisco/Juniper router/switch configuration.
- YANG data modeling experience.
- Cisco NSO automation expertise.
