Leidos is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer to join our technical development program supporting critical IdAM/ICAM initiatives on a secure network. Design, develop, and deploy reliable, robust, resilient platforms that empower software development teams to innovate at scale. Primary Responsibilities
- Deliver innovative products, services, or hybrid solutions tailored to customer requirements.
- Engineer enterprise software solutions within secure cloud environments like AWS.
- Provide hands-on execution guidance and engineering support to mission-critical teams.
- Partner with security engineers to address and mitigate vulnerabilities from system scans.
- Maintain cloud infrastructure through patching, configuration management, and upgrades.
- Collaborate across Software Development, System Engineering, Security Compliance, and QA teams.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- BS degree + 8+ years relevant experience (additional experience may substitute for degree).
- Proven platform engineering expertise with AWS cloud providers.
- Strong communication skills for technical and stakeholder interactions.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Hands-on automation with Ansible, Terraform, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Packer.
- Containerization (Docker/Podman) and orchestration (Kubernetes).
- Serverless architectures (AWS Lambda).
- Familiarity with security accreditation processes.
- Agile, SAFe, Scrum methodologies.
