Join Leidos' National Security Sector as a Senior Python Developer
Leidos is seeking a Senior Python Developer (SWE-3) for our Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA) in Fort George G. Meade, MD. Be at the forefront of Security Engineering, Computer Network Operations (CNO), Mission Software, SIGINT, and Cryptographic Key Management. Our LOE program delivers rapid prototyping, new development, and advanced technology research to push boundaries in data visualization, analytics, and intelligence tradecraft.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with mission stakeholders to capture requirements and overlay network datasets via ABYSS architecture.
- Integrate parsers, signatures, and front-end sensor tradecraft into ABYSS.
- Develop network protocol parsers to populate data repositories.
- Prototype analytic workflows for traffic profiling, anomaly detection, and alerting on network changes.
- Deploy fingerprints and signatures to automate data/metadata analysis in customer tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s in Computer Science + 8 years experience (or equivalent).
- Proficiency in Python, C++, Spark; experience with Jupyter, JIRA, Confluence, Git/Gitlab.
- Knowledge of ASDF, TCLD, XKEYSCORE/ABYSS fingerprints.
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph.
Desirable Skills
Understanding of SNORT signatures and SCADA/industrial protocols.

Responsibilities
- Collaborate with customers to overlay network datasets through existing architecture with ABYSS product
- Integrate parsers and signatures into ABYSS and develop tradecraft for front end sensors
- Develop parsing and processing of network protocols to populate customer data repositories
- Prototype and develop analytic workflows to automate profiling of network traffic/activity
- Detect and alert based on network changes
- Create parsers for network protocols
- Develop fingerprints and signatures to identify suspicious and anomalous network activity
- Deploy solutions to customer supported tools for automated data and metadata analysis
