Senior Security Manager Opportunity at Leidos

Join Leidos Security Operations as a Senior Security Manager, leading a dynamic team supporting Cyber & Analytics for Intelligence Community (IC) customers. This role offers leadership in multi-site security for SCI programs, ensuring mission-critical compliance and innovation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Oversee security for multiple contracts, implementing NISPOM (32 CFR Part 117) and exceeding requirements.
  • Guide and develop industrial security professionals across states and cleared facilities.
  • Interface with Leidos leaders and government officials for compliance and decision-making.
  • Make critical decisions on high-value contracts, applying risk mitigation to complex challenges.
  • Provide daily oversight on clearances, program reviews, audits, investigations, and logs.
  • Deliver technical expertise in personnel, physical, industrial, and computer security.
  • Prepare security guidance, train on SCI briefings, and maintain records/databases.
  • Coordinate with DoD, IC officials; monitor operations and report to leadership.
  • Build security programs including awareness and CI training.
  • Collaborate internally/externally; author Security Volumes for RFPs; work extended hours as needed.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s +8 years or Master’s +6 years relevant experience.
  • 6-8 years leading CPSOs/CSSOs/FSOs, including performance feedback and admin.
  • Multi-program management with site/executive collaboration.
  • Travel capability in N. Virginia/D.C. Metro; large audience briefing experience.
  • Expert in NISPOM and regulations for complex projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead multi-functional security team across multiple locations and programs
  • Ensure compliance with NISPOM, contract security docs, and classification guides
  • Provide oversight on personnel clearances, audits, investigations, and document control
  • Interface with Leidos personnel, government officials, and IC stakeholders
  • Develop and deliver SCI briefings, security training, and awareness programs
  • Monitor security operations, provide status reports, and recommend improvements
  • Author security volumes for RFPs and mitigate complex security risks
