Core Role Impact
As the guardian of instance architecture, you'll minimize technical debt, enforce best practices, and serve as escalation point for complex issues. Focus on long-term scalability over quick fixes, partnering with stakeholders to architect secure, upgradeable solutions for an Intelligence agency.
Key Responsibilities
- Platform Governance: Drive configuration strategies prioritizing OOB functionality for seamless upgrades.
- Advanced Engineering: Master server-side scripting, complex ACLs, REST/SOAP integrations, and debugging intricate workflows.
- Solution Architecture: Translate requirements into scalable designs, constructively challenging risks to stability.
- Upgrade Leadership: Manage full cycles—release reviews, skipped records, conflicts, and testing frameworks.
- Team Mentorship: Guide juniors via code reviews, fostering excellence and continuous learning.
- Health Optimization: Sustain CMDB integrity and proactively resolve performance issues via HealthScan.
Required Expertise
- 5+ years enterprise ServiceNow administration/development.
- Mandatory CSA; CAD/CIS-ITSM highly valued.
- Deep JavaScript/Glide, Flow Designer, Service Portal, and integration skills (AD, Azure DevOps).
- ITIL/Agile proficiency and confident stakeholder engagement.
