Job Description

Join Leidos' Electronic Warfare Division as a Senior Signal Processing Engineer

Leidos' Electronic Warfare (EW) Division is at the forefront of protecting warfighters and national security against evolving threats. Due to rapid growth, we seek a Senior Signal Processing Engineer to drive innovation in signal collection, processing, and dissemination systems. Based in Arlington, VA or San Diego, CA, you'll research, design, and develop cutting-edge systems for extracting critical information from signal sensors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop novel algorithms, performance simulations, and analysis in time series and spectral domains using real and simulated data.
  • Lead technical teams and multiple projects to achieve program goals.
  • Support business development by crafting technical solutions for RFPs, BAAs, and capture efforts.
  • Conduct lab-based and field testing, ensuring robust system performance.
  • Deliver compelling briefings and reports to teams, customers, and leadership.

Basic Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizen with active Secret clearance (able to obtain TS/SCI).
  • Bachelor's +12 years or Master's +10 years relevant experience.
  • Proficiency in MATLAB, Python, C/C++, Linux, Simulink, and related tools.
  • Expertise in digital filtering, spectral estimation, detection/estimation theory, linear algebra, stochastic processes.
  • Proven leadership of technical teams/projects and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience in EW, SIGINT, or radar as a technical leader.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Doctoral degree in relevant field.
  • Business development/capture experience (proposals, white papers).
  • R&D environment experience.
