Join Leidos as a Senior Software Asset Manager in Fort Belvoir, VA

Leidos is seeking a Senior Software Asset Manager to support the DTRA I3TS program at Fort Belvoir, VA. This critical role delivers Software Asset Management (SAM) expertise to a major government agency using the ServiceNow platform. Lead planning, deployment, monitoring, harvesting, and retirement of software assets through best-practice workflows in ServiceNow SAM Professional and ITSM modules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement and manage ServiceNow SAM for full software lifecycle automation.
  • Integrate workflows between Service Catalog, ITSM, and Asset Management.
  • Create/modify entitlements, models, and link to contracts for compliance.
  • Reconcile licenses, monitor positions, and resolve compliance alerts.
  • Maintain CMDB integrity with validated discovery data relationships.
  • Optimize costs via harvesting rules and reclamation efforts.
  • Track contract lifecycles and vendor agreement changes.
  • Generate actionable reports using Dashboards and Performance Analytics.
  • Analyze complex licensing (RTU, virtualization, upgrades) for accuracy.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s + 8+ years ITSM/SAM experience (or equivalent).
  • Current ITIL4 Certification.
  • ServiceNow ITSM/SAM expertise and CSDM knowledge.
  • Software lifecycle mastery and publisher licensing depth (MS, Adobe, Oracle, IBM).
  • ISO 19770-1/ITIL standards; discovery tools experience.
  • Top Secret/SCI Clearance; US Citizenship required.
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, MS Office proficiency.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CIS-SAM, CSA, CSAM, or CHAMP certifications.
  • Metrics-driven analysis for cost savings.
  • SQL/Advanced Reporting skills.
  • Stakeholder presentation expertise.
