Join Leidos as a Senior Software Developer in Chantilly, VA
Leidos is seeking a Senior Software Developer for a 200+ FTE technical development program supporting critical entitlement programs, IdAM/ICAM, authentication, authorization, attributes, and digital policy management. Work with a large, collaborative team of developers, software engineers, and data engineers on innovative solutions for high-stakes missions.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop robust Java and/or Python applications integrating Large Language Model (LLM) API calls.
- Apply Scrum agile methodologies to manage workloads and iteratively deliver applications meeting customer requirements.
- Leverage Amazon Web Services (AWS) for scalable, cloud-based deployments.
- Design and implement RESTful APIs to enable seamless system integrations.
- Collaborate on system architectures, feature designs, and customer-driven solutions.
Required Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance.
- BS degree with 12+ years relevant experience (additional experience accepted in lieu of degree).
- Hands-on expertise in object-oriented languages like Java, Python, Kotlin, Go, or Ruby.
- Experience defining system architectures and designing new features.
- Proven track record developing solutions to customer requirements.
- Knowledge of Git, Jenkins, or Rundeck for CI/CD pipelines.
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to AI foundation models like GPT and concepts such as prompt engineering.
- Familiarity with AI libraries including LangChain.
- Understanding of Identity Access Management (IAM) concepts.
- Experience with design patterns, best practices, microservices, and integration testing frameworks.
- Documented open-source contributions, technical certifications, or continued education.
