Primary Responsibilities

• Develop finite element models/simulations using tools like FEMAP/NX NASTRAN, ANSYS, or Abaqus for structural and dynamics analysis.
• Execute analytical methods, calculations, data reduction, and test result correlation.
• Collaborate closely with design and manufacturing teams to ensure manufacturability, performance, and schedule adherence.
• Author technical reports and deliver presentations to multi-disciplinary audiences.
• Thrive in collaborative environments, working solo or in teams on complex projects.

Basic Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering (ABET-accredited) + 8 years experience, or MS + 6 years in stress analysis.
• Proven expertise in commercial FEA tools.
• Strong communication skills for reports and presentations.
• DoD Secret clearance eligibility and Huntsville, AL residency/relocation willingness.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's degree in relevant field.
• Advanced techniques: non-linear FEA, bolted joint/weld analysis, dynamics (modal, vibration), fatigue, composites, thermal analysis.
